The Ivory Club

Endowed Scholarship

The Ivory Club Scholarship is a $500 award for undergraduate and graduate students of African descent with preference given to individuals who are international students from Africa. These students can be first or second generation Africans living in the U.S.

The purpose is to support a scholarship for full-time students, at all academic levels, pursuing all majors on the Tampa campus. Students must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.2 for freshmen and currently enrolled students; 3.5 for new transfers; 3.0 for graduate students. Renewal of the scholarship for the second year is dependent on full-time student status and good academic standing.


The minimum academic criteria are as follows:

  • ACT minimum composite score of 25 or SAT minimum score of 1120
  • Scores Reported on the GRE revised General Test
    • Verbal Reasoning - 130–170
    • Quantitative Reasoning - 130–170
    • Analytical Writing - 0–6
  • GRE (Graduate Record Exam) minimum scores of 500 verbal, 4.5 writing, and 550 quantitative
  • GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) minimum score of 650
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores earned within (2) years of the desired term of entry. A minimum score of 79 on the internet-based test, 213 on the computer-based test, or 550 on the paper-based test are required
  • High school , transfer students, undergraduate and graduate students
