Ruth and Jerry Bell

Endowed Scholarship

The Ruth and Jerry Bell Scholarship was established in 1990. It is offered annually to an academically talented African American freshman, transfer, or continuing undergraduate student studying at the University of South Florida. This is a $1,000 non-renewable award.

Qualifications
The minimum academic criteria are as follows:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale) or higher is required
  • ACT minimum composite score of 25 or SAT minimum score of 1120
  • A Florida resident of African descent
